The Political System
The new constitution in 1975 reduced the king's authority for the benefit of the government. The Kingdom of Sweden is a constitutional monarchy and is composed of 24 provinces, where the King is the head of State, and the Government is the executive authority and is chaired by the Prime Minister.
The Parliament in Sweden is called (Raxdaj), composed of 349 members. Parliament appoints an official called the (Sergeant) to protect the citizens of illegal power of government employees.It is the first country to operate this system. Each province has its own government in Sweden, which is also elected from the county's population.
And the Supreme Court is the highest judicial authority in the country and on the final appeals of the important criminal and civil issues.
